
Keith Metz grew up in New Port Richey, FL. He received his B.S. in Political Science at the University of Central Florida and went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the Charlotte School of Law.
While in college at the University of Central Florida, Keith worked full time at Sam’s Club in the tire and battery department. Growing up, Keith idolized Michael Jordan and always wanted to move to North Carolina to follow in MJ’s footsteps.
Keith resides in Mecklenburg County, where he has been since 2011, when he moved to Charlotte for law school. He opened his own practice after working for Safe Alliance, where he represented victims of domestic violence and helped them receive 50B protective orders. During his third year in law school, Keith interned with the Union County District Attorney’s office

Since opening The Metz Law Firm, PLLC, in 2015, Keith has worked extensively with traffic, criminal, and DWI cases in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, and Union Counties. He belongs to the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, the Cabarrus County Bar Association, and is an Ambassador for the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys.

In addition to his work with clients, Keith has taught the Traffic Law 101 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program for the Mecklenburg County Bar Association and has guest lectured at “The Civil Litigant’s Right to Counsel: Violence and Family Law Matters’ Symposium,” which was hosted by the Charlotte School of Law.

In his free time, Keith enjoys hiking with his German Shepards, Baloo and Ava, smoking delicious BBQ on his Traeger smoker, and doing carpentry and other woodworking projects.
